It all started with a gift.
As a homeschooler, my "computer lab" was a shared desktop with Microsoft Word and Paint. When a family friend reached out and shared an educational license for Adobe Illustrator CS5, the real work began.

ARCS 300: Architecture Studio
HWS Department of Art & Architecture
As a teaching assistant for an architecture studio, I will be a leader in the classroom space: offering critiques to students, creating dialogue, and building community within the Department of Art and Architecture. I will perform demonstrations, administrative tasks, and assist Professors in the general management and upkeep of our studio space. I have always loved the creative spaces crafted within our studio environment, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to have hands-on involvement with fellow students. I am incredibly excited to learn more about the teaching of design through this semester’s opportunity!

Modes of Architectural Production: The US, Denmark, and Sweden
Danish Institute for Study Abroad (DIS)
While studying abroad in Copenhagen, Denmark, I performed research under the mentorship of Angela Gigliotti and Fabio Gigone. This project investigates the contributions of lesser known narratives to architectural history, specifically in reference to architectural modes and methods of production in the US, Denmark, and Sweden during the Cold-War era of 1947-91. In this study, RAs perform a textual analysis of Arkitekten, a Danish architecture publication as the primary source.
My final paper was entitled "Learning to Listen: The Politics of Urban Development in Denmark," and investigated residents as the most direct stakeholders within a housing complex. The paper argues that policy makers and architects held conflicting opinions on who was responsible for social networks within housing, and their dissent further harmed residents by stifling their opinions on their housing communities. A focus is placed on Scandinavian import/export with Berlin in the year 1984.
Spring 2021
Accessibility Design Coordinator
"Tone a Blind Eye"
HWS Theatre
As the Accessibility Design Team Coordinator for Tone a Blind Eye, I observed all parts of the design processes from web development to tactile elements. I was also on the audio description team, working to write and dictate audio descriptions that could be integrated into the performances. I co-authored all audio description and voiced the audio description for Gretel, Evangeline, and the Witch, you can view this work by clicking here.
As someone who has a passion for the Arts and people, creating opportunity/space for people to access the magic of theater is why I joined the crew. Being on the team was a wonderful learning curve, and taught me a lot about how to craft new processes.

ARCH 110: Intro. to Architecture
HWS Department of Art & Architecture
As an Intro to Architecture TA, I held weekly office hours to aide student success with projects and assignments. Having completed the course with an A+ the semester prior, I served as a peer mentor providing relatable encouragement and advice. By keeping in regular communication with our Professor, I was able to contribute classroom feedback as well as oversee and assist in class skill-building activities.
